HOW TO QUIT SMOKING —EASY TIPS FOR YOU

Nicotine causes the shortage of oxygen supply to baby, so when a pregnant woman smoke then there are chances that the baby will born too early and of weight less than 5.5 pounds.

Smoking during pregnancy also affects lungs, brain, heart very badly. Smoking also increases the chances of getting asthma in newborn.

Smoking during pregnancy also increases the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

HOW DOES SECONDHAND SMOKE AFFECT PREGNANCY?

Secondhand smoke also called environmental tobacco smoke or passive smoke is the combination of cigarette smoke and the smoke exhaled by the smoker.

If you expose regularly  to secondhand smoke then, you also increase the risk of stillbirth, tubal pregnancy, and low birth weight baby.

You can give your baby a huge gift by giving up your habit of smoking. The sooner you give up the better. It would be better if you give up smoking before you conceive.

 

Smoking lowers the chance of conceiving during any specific cycle by about 40 percent.

It is suggested to quit smoking in the first trimester. You will enjoy your life if you devote your life to your baby.

There are some tactics that will help you to quit smoking.

  • Keep mint or gum when you get the wish to smoke.
  • Do not visit places where people smoke
  • Go for exercise to stay fit and active. It will help you to keep your mind off smoking.
  • Change your habit connected with smoking
  • Hide your matches, lighters and ashtrays.
  • Ask smokers not to smoke near or around you.
  • Avoid alcohol because it will also urge you to smoke.

Very soon your life will come to normal but stay alert not to be trapped again. If your brain compels you by thinking ‘just one cigarette’ remember there are no such things—it is not one cigarette but it is that old chain you have just left. Because if you smoke just one you will be called as smoker again—the filthy name again. That way those minutes can become pleasurable as you salute yourself that you are free and that way you can enjoying living as a non-smoker for the rest of your life.

So always stay away from smoking by applying these aforementioned easy quit-smoking tips but especially during pregnancy you have to apply all or some of them to quit smoking. This is because if you smoke then your baby will not develop properly—creates problems for you. Devote your life to your baby’s health to avoid any complication and disappointment in life.
